Course Description

Interested in learning how to transform simple doodles into expressive hand lettered art? Through hands-on projects, participants will work with a variety of art materials and mixed media techniques to bring their ideas to life, while learning about visual language and how lettering communicates mood and meaning. Inspired by local artists who incorporate lettering into murals, illustrations, signs and branding, participants will explore the fundamentals of hand lettering, experiment with unique fonts, and enhance their designs with decorative elements.
