Course Description

This course is for students who are already familiar with oil painting, having taken the Extended Studies: Introductory Oil Painting course (or equivalent). The classes build on your previous knowledge and experience with colour mixing, painting techniques, and painting process with oils. Projects include still life, reflective objects, landscape, cityscape, and finish with painting a clothed figure. Students will experiment with compositional choices, harmonious colour schemes, collecting resource materials, and rendering textures such as glass, silver, and textiles. For each class, please bring your paint supplies (see materials list), pencil, sketching paper and size of canvas board or canvas indicated.

Students are required to supply some materials for this course.
