Course Description

"In this five part series you will learn step-by-step instructions that will guide you from the basics of felt making to a deeper understanding of what makes quality felt. Weekly classes will allow students to build on new skills that move from flat felting, to nuno felting, to 3D felting, and finally, offer the space for individual student-led final projects. Not to be confused with the increasingly popular craft of needle felting, wet felting uses only wool fibre, felting solution, and friction to create fabric. There will be no needle work, big tools, or precise patterns to follow, but the process does involve some stamina. After taking this workshop series you will have, not only a deep understanding of wet felting, but a better sense of the textiles you choose to bring into your life."
