Course Description

CEL Coordinator Erinn Langille in conversation with clothes designer and founder, Sarah Millman of The Local Woman Co.

Sarah worked as a respected costume designer in film & television for over 10 years. Her first directorial debut, produced in 2020, was a feminist manifesto about three pregnant women alone in the woods. Sarah designed custom dresses for the film and decided to launch LOCAL WOMAN after an abundance of interest was shown in the airy and easy-to-move-in pieces. Her film career still informs many of her designs and lends to her keen eye for timeless elegance. LW is her expression of deep romance, frivolity and empowerment.
