Course Description

This course will provide students with a good understanding of how to design a user-centered website. The students will use the free design tool Figma to create visual mockups for their web project. The process includes user persona creation, user journey mapping, site map creation, and user interface mockup creation in Figma. After finishing the course, students will be able to utilize the design and create a functional website with website builders, such as Wix, Squarespace, and Cargocollective. This course is hosted online. As such, students are required to have access to a computer, tablet, or smartphone with internet access during class time. Access to a web camera and microphone is strongly recommended. Basic computer literacy required.
