Course Description
This online colour-mixing course is designed for novice acrylic painters who want to become more confident and knowledgeable about the wide variety of colour mixing methods and applications. Taking time to practice and enjoy colour mixing can lead to more sophisticated solutions and stronger painting results. Through a combination of instruction videos, information packages, and synchronized activities, students will practice painting tonal scales, colour schemes and harmonies, neutralizing colour, warming and cooling colour, as well as evoking mood through colour and contrast. Students will have the opportunity to use these colour-mixing approaches in creating small practice paintings.
This course is hosted online. As such, students are required to have access to a computer, tablet, or smartphone with internet access during class time. Access to a web camera and microphone is strongly recommended. Additional materials required.
