Course Description

Work with local cartoonist Mollie Cronin (Art Brat Comics) to explore the ins and outs of writing autobiographical comics. This course will explore caricature and portraiture, write diary comics, and explore weaving students' real life and the real characters that populate it into narrative forms. Mollie has worked as an autobiographical cartoonist for more than 5 years, and will share with students her skills of eloquently communicating the complexities of writing stories about one's own life, and the complications of making characters out of one's friends and family. This course is open to anyone of any experience level with comics and drawing.
