Course Description
Discover the world of art making through exploration and experimentation with a variety of materials and organized activities. Basic skills in drawing, painting, and sculpture will be considered. Imagination, self-confidence and individual style are encouraged.
In this course, students will:
- Have fun exploring colours, shapes, and textures through hands-on art play.
- Feel excited and confident trying new materials and tools in a safe, supportive space.
- Express ideas, stories, and feelings through drawing, painting, and building.
- Practice sharing, taking turns, and working alongside others during creative activities.
- Experience pride and joy in creating and finishing their own artworks.
- Learn habits for caring for art supplies and cleaning up together.
Supplies to complete class projects are provided. Students should wear clothes they don't mind getting messy to class.
