Course Description
We will experiment with colour theory and colour mixing, tonal painting and blending, composition, paint handling, characteristics of oil paint and mediums, lighting, and content.
In this course, students will:
- Mix a wide variety of colours with the hue, value, and saturation in mind.
- Paint a still-life painting from a resource photograph.
- Edit a landscape image of their choice for painting.
- Apply drawing and painting strategies to portrait painting.
Students are required to supply some materials for this course.
