Course Description
Discover how artists challenge conventional ideas about what art can be and what it can be made from. Inspired by influential artists Louise Nevelson, Jasper Johns, Robert Rauschenberg, and Jim Dine, campers will explore how everyday objects, familiar images, and unexpected materials can be transformed into extraordinary works of art. Throughout the week, campers will experiment with painting, drawing, collage, printmaking, image transfers, and assemblage, creating layered compositions, transforming ordinary objects into artworks, and building imaginative mixed-media pieces. Explore new materials, experiment with unexpected combinations, and discover fresh ways to make art.
