Course Description
Learn the quilting, artistic, and math skills create quilts of your own design. We’ll learn how to play with design basics, choose colours, and combine fabrics. Then we’ll gain an understanding of the mechanics of quilt block design to set you up for success to make any quilt. Learn how to perfectly press your seams and match your points, then experiment with english paper piecing, foundational paper piecing, and creative quilt techniques. Level up your quilting technique by combining appliqué, layering decorative stitches, and creating abstract shapes. We’ll focus on small projects in class, with the goal of setting you up with a plan and all the math to make your first quilt entirely of your own design post-course.
