Course Description

This introductory course will cover basic principles which can be used together to paint botanical subjects including sketching from observation, as well as a variety of watercolour techniques: wet-on-dry, wet-on-wet, glazing, negative painting, layering, and more. Carefully detailed renderings as well more free and flowing compositions will be explored, using both photo references and fresh plants as subjects.
