Course Description
Students will broaden their knowledge in jewellery making by further exploring techniques learned in Introduction to Jewellery Making. Demos will be given on new techniques such as puzzle ring construction, hydraulic press forming, riveting & cold connections for earrings. Exploration and development of personal designs is encouraged, in consultation with the instructor. NOTE: this course will focus on techniques using sterling silver, copper, and brass. Tuition includes some supplies and the use of jewellery tools, students are responsible for providing their own silver. Bring a notebook, pen, dust mask (N95) to first class.
Prerequisite: Introduction to Jewellery Making or equivalent.
