Veteran’s Project 2023
In the Summer of 2023, NSCAD Art Factory partnered with artist Jessica Wiebe and psychologist Dr. Dawson Wamboldt to support a pilot project for the Veteran’s Vocational Rehabilitation Art Program (VVRAP), in partnership with the Veterans Transitional Network and supported by the True Patriot Love Foundation. Veteran participants took part in a series of six full weekend workshops in the studios at NSCAD, exploring painting, printmaking, book arts, and sculpture. The program offered veterans the opportunity to build community while exploring the arts as a tool to aid the transition process from soldier to civilian.
