Course Description

What does it feel like to see the world through bee’s eyes? How do bees find flowers to pollinate? How can we help our little winged friends? This workshop helps children to understand what a bee’s life is like. Activities include altering your vision to see how bees see, using your sense of smell to create a watercolor painting, visiting the museum to observe a live bee hive, building a “bee hotel”, and making a map using your footprints. Children will see what it is like to live like a bee and learn more about how they can help these important animals (bee puns may or may not be included).

NSCAD Extended Studies camps include all materials. Early drop off and late pick up options available from 8:30am to 5:00pm at no additional cost.

NSCAD Extended Studies is happy to accommodate students with different learning needs. If your child has any developmental disabilities or mental health concerns that may affect their participation, please reach out to our staff at make@nscad.ca so a plan can be put in place in advance of camp.
