ESPN-0203 - Watercolour Painting: More Botanical Explorations Online
Course Description
This course will cover basic principles which can be used together to paint botanical subjects including sketching from observation, as well as a variety of watercolour techniques: wet-on-dry, wet-on-wet, glazing, negative painting, layering, and more. Carefully detailed renderings as well more free and flowing compositions will be explored, using both photo references and fresh plants as subjects. This course is a sequel to Watercolour Painting: Botanical Illustrations covering new topics. Completion of Watercolour Painting: Botanical Illustrations is not required, however prior watercolour painting experience is. This course is hosted online. As such, students are required to have access to a computer, tablet, or smartphone with internet access during class time. Access to a web camera and microphone is strongly recommended. Basic computer literacy required.
