Course Description

In this camp, our mission is to build an interstellar rocket ship equipped with spacesuits, droids, and food rations in order to visit the distant world of N.S.C.A.D. (Nova Scotia Cosmic Art Dimension). Students will draw, paint, and sculpt their means of travel between worlds, learning a number of crafting skills that can be used along their journey through space and time. For take off we must create a cardboard space ship fully stocked with hand sewn space suits, sculpted food supplies, and tinfoil plated droids to ensure their safe return home.

NSCAD Extended Studies camps include all materials. Early drop off and late pick up options available from 8:30am to 5:00pm at no additional cost.

NSCAD Extended Studies is happy to accommodate students with different learning needs. If your child has any developmental disabilities or mental health concerns that may effect their participation, please reach out to our staff at make@nscad.ca so a plan can be put in place in advance of camp.
